Exploring the Environmental Impact of Detergent Misuse in Nigeria

Growing up in Nigeria, I was surrounded by the belief that Omo was the ultimate cleaning solution for everything. It didn't matter what brand of detergent you used; it was all called Omo with a smile. From bathroom cleaning to washing clothes, plates, and even the kitchen, we relied on Omo for everything. Recently, while cleaning my beloved industrial gas cooker, I noticed the harsh effects of this detergent on my stainless steel kitchen appliances, leaving me dissatisfied.

Coincidentally, the internet seemed to sense my concerns, as my Instagram feed was flooded with reels of people using various solvents to clean their homes. It made me wonder if I had been cleaning everything incorrectly all along. It was a moment of realization - exposure brings knowledge. I knew I had to do better.

After conducting thorough research, I discovered that there are numerous alternative and effective cleaning solvents available everywhere. They had been there all along; I just hadn't noticed them, probably because I wasn't actively seeking them out.
I soon understood that my cleaning habits were deeply ingrained in the Omo generation of Nigeria, passed down from my mother and grandmother. However, I couldn't ignore the importance of using the right cleaning solvents. While some of these products might be costly, and not as readily available due to being imported, the benefits they offer are invaluable. With a little effort and the right products, you can keep your house looking amazing, prevent surfaces from fading or wearing off, and contribute to better maintenance.

As I embark on my journey to explore and compare different cleaning aids, I promise to share my recommendations with you all. It's time for me to adopt new and more effective cleaning practices. So, thank you for reading, and please do check back for updates.

Worse Colours for your Bedroom

Let me provide you with a simplified version of the colour scheme explanation: Colours can be categorized into three main groups: cool, bright or warm, and neutrals. Cool colours include green, blue, and certain shades of purple. These colours often evoke a sense of calmness and tranquility. Bright colors consist of red, orange, yellow, and some purples. They are vibrant and energetic, adding excitement to the visual spectrum. Neutrals are colours that are closer to earth tones, such as white, gray, and brown. These colours are often used as a base or background and can create a sense of balance and simplicity. Also, to create a more calming effect, you can mix bright or cool colors with a lot of white, which results in a softer, washed-out colour tone. When it comes to creating a relaxing and soothing ambiance in your bedroom, the colour scheme plays a significant role. The right choice of colours can enhance comfort, promote restful sleep, and contribute to a peaceful atmosphere. Whi
